Welcome to the Christopher J. Morrissey Foundation website
The Christopher J. Morrissey Foundation is pleased to inform you that a monthly support group for Mothers who have lost a child has been formed. Mothers who have lost a child (regardless of age or circumstance) are invited to gather on the second Tuesday of each month from 7:30 - 9:00 PM at the Wall Municipal Building located at 2700 Allaire Road in Wall Township. (The Community Room is located downstairs). There is no charge for this support group. The group is being formed as a safe, non-judgmental gathering place for Moms to share and listen.
Meetings will be co-facilitated by Martha Kalakutok and Kathy Parte, LPC. Both women are caring listeners and have a significant amount of experience with grief counseling. Martha can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or 201-321-5761. Kathy can be reached at email@example.com or 732-612-3148. If you feel the need to reach out for any reason, even just to say “Hello,” please feel free to do so.

Chris was an intelligent, loyal and kind 20 year-old young man when he left us. Chris loved his family and friends, but most importantly, he "LOVED LIFE". Life was good. However, in actuality...to Chris it was great. He grew up in Howell, New Jersey where he was an avid NY Giants and NY Yankee fan. He played baseball his entire life starting out in Little League at Howell South Little League, four years at St. Rose High School, and continuing with intramurals at the University of Maryland. He was known and loved for his wisdom, witty sense of humor and determination. He was a dynamic force to all who knew him and was well-respected by his peers and adults as well.

The Christopher J. Morrissey Foundation has been established for two major purposes;
Support & Services
To help heal and strengthen our community by providing support and services to those affected by the loss of a child;
To assist those so that they may deal with grief one hour or one day at a time. This will be done through support, counseling services and financial assistance to families in need.
To assist those by partnering with other organizations to participate in programs, activities, and training sessions to promote early drug and alcohol awareness to local youth groups.
To assist underprivileged youth by partnering with other organizations so that they may attend activities otherwise not affordable or opportune.

To provide a legacy of learning to future students and athletes;
To assist and encourage those students to become leaders and productive members of society who possess independence, morality and compassionate citizenship;
To encourage those future leaders to emulate love, kindness, humility, strength and knowledge.
This will be done through support and financial awards.
